Mid month run to Eendekuil Hotel 14th SeptemberThe weather is still not cooperating; I arrived at N1 City with the weather looking decidedly winter! By 09h00 I had been joined by 4 other disgracefulls, on 3 bikes, Sharpie had communicated that he and Dougie would meet us on the N7 so we set off. As we arrived at the N7 Melbos junction so did Sharpie & Dougie who joined in at the back of our small group. The only advantage to be gained from the inclement weather was the lack of traffic, we were also lucky that we only had minor showers.Eventually we pulled into Picketburg for a smoke and petrol and then arrived at the Eendekuil Hotel at about 11h15 to be welcomed by a few disgracefulls who had spent the night, they had rode up on Saturday in great weather.I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities, a good bar, pool table, restaurant and outside areas. The overnighters said the rooms are excellent. After a few drinks, good prices, the breakfast was served and there was plenty to eat at a reasonable price and the food was hot!I would recommend the Hotel as a good venue for a sleep over, in the summer (when we get one) I understand that there are adventure rides and many places of beauty and interest to visit. So those who did not brave the weather lost out!Len the Pen Editor Ulysses WC magazine
